how to add word sound support PDF Print E-mail

You need to get  WyabdcRealPeopleTTS.tar.bz2 and unpack it first. If you phone support mp3,you can also use OtdRealPeopleTTS or EnglishSounds.ti!. ANd if your phone support ogg,you can also use ZDicSpeech.pdb (Just copy this file to dict/sound/). You can find the supported media in your phone in jstardict about function after install jStarDIct. For OtdRealPeopleTTS and EnglishSounds.ti!, after install you need to rename the folder to EnglishSounds or WyabdcRealPeopleTTS.

You can wait/search the exported dict by others.

Add word sound support to jStarDict (the desktop version):
You need manaully copy the unpacked folder to a given folder:
For windows users, the folder is:
<System root>\Documents and Settings\<User name>\Application Data\TeeDict\dict\sound .
For other system, the folder is ~/.teedict/dict/sound.
You can export the added sound files to a stardict dict file. You can copy the exported folder to your phone to add word sound for your jStarDictM/jStarDictBB.

Add word sound support to jStarDictM (the mobile version):
See add to desktop version first.
The best way is to add the sound to desktop version then export to a stardict format folder. Then copy the folder to  <tf root>\dict\sound\. For example if you give tts as name while d othe export, then you will get a folder called stardict-tts-3.0.0. Copy the file to <tf root>\dict\sound\.
After that, you folder should look like this(in case F: is the root of your card):
F:\ dict\sound\stardict-tts-3.0.0\tts.dict
F:\ dict\sound\stardict-tts-3.0.0\tts.ifo
F:\ dict\sound\stardict-tts-3.0.0\tts.idx
F:\ dict\sound\stardict-tts-3.0.0\tts.idx.idx

You can also use the raw files. But it's hard to copy all the small files (20,000 files) to your phone. And it will need a lot of space.
(If you phone support mp3, you can also try the link in out forum http://www.teesoft.info/phpbb/viewtopic.php?p=51#51. The step is similar, but you need manually rename the unzipped folder name to WyabdcRealPeopleTTS.)

Put the folder to <tf root>\dict\sound\WyabdcRealPeopleTTS. After you folder will look like this:
F:\dict\sound\WyabdcRealPeopleTTS\a\a.wav
F:\dict\sound\WyabdcRealPeopleTTS\a\......wav
......
